Seven Places To Get Your Chocolate Fix On World Chocolate Day

To celebrate World Chocolate Day we look at some of the best places to get your chocolate fix in Nottingham City Centre.

Chocolate Utopia

Fancy a bit of chocolate luxury? Then look no further. This charming family-run independent business on Friar Lane specialises in small-batch fresh chocolates. Buy them in store to view their latest stock or get them delivered to your home.

Luisa's Vegan Chocolates

Luisa & her daughter, Isabella handcraft multi worldwide award-winning bean-to-bar chocolate from their small-scale, ethical chocolate makery in Sneinton Market. All the manufacturing of Luisa’s chocolate bars and truffle creations happens at her shop, where, once immersed in the wonderful aromas of roasted cocoa, you can see the process for yourself and learn about the craft, giving visitors a real insight into the chocolate maker’s world.

Cookie Shake

Milkshakes, ice creams, cookies and hot chocolate. If you’re looking for drinking chocolate then this place is a haven of it. Look out for their famous wall of toppings. They stay open until 9pm most nights.

Doughnotts

Doughnuts like you’ve never tasted before! This place was only founded in 2015, but it’s genuinely hard to imagine the city without them now. Their flagship store is based on Queen Street near the Brian Clough statue and is a treat for the eyes and mouth.

Kaspas

Choose from a menu of sundaes (including their infamous Knickerbocker Glory), waffles, crepes, cakes, puddings, milkshakes and more. Eat in or take out at this dessert lovers paradise.

Studio Chocolate

You can buy some amazing chocolates from their shop in Cobden Chambers, but if you want to really treat yourself why not enrol in a chocolate-making course at their studio just down the road on Thurland Street and learn from the professionals to make your own.

Pudding Pantry

Puddings, pancakes, hot drinks and cocktails - with options to get chocolate into any of them. This local dessert company has recently expanded into both Sherwood and Beeston, but theirflagship store in Trinity Square remains their base.
