Six Nottingham Gyms To Check Out On World Heart Day

Thursday 29 September 2022 is World Heart Day, an event established by the World Heart Federation to increase awareness of cardiovascular diseases. One of the best things you can do to reduce your chances of having any cardiovascular diseases is to work out regularly. With this in mind we thought we’d introduce you to six of the best gyms in Nottingham City Centre.

Kinetik Fitness

An independent gym in the heart of Nottingham City Centre. It’s owned by husband and wife team Ali and Sarah West, who have two decades of experience in the fitness industry between them. If you want to get a sense of what it’s all about you can also listen to Ali West’s Kinetik Fitness podcast.

With some of the best value gym packages in the city on offer (currently £40 for 3 months), if you’re looking to sign up to a gym during the cost of living crisis then this place is worth a look. They are a not-for-profit, meaning your gym membershipmoney helps support programmes and services for vulnerable adults and children across the city.

UFC (aka the Ultimate Fighting Championships) has become a spectator sensation in the UK over the last decade. So when Nottingham became one of the first cities in the country to bag an official UFC gym it was something of a coup.
