Top 6 places to eat and drink if you’re seeing Ed Sheeran

Posted on: 21 April 2017

If you’re one of the lucky folk who managed to nab Ed Sheeran tickets (we’re totally not jealous… honestly) then we have the best places to go for food and drink in the city centre before his epic gigs, and because we like to think of ourselves as a witty bunch we have themed them on some of Ed’s greatest hits – enjoy!

Castle on the Hill – Bunkers Hill, 36/38 Hockley – Sitting smack bang next to The Motorpoint Arena and hosting some of the best craft beers in the city, Bunkers Hill is the place to go to if you’re after a pre or post Sheeran pint.

Shape of you – Pizzeria Savai, Plumtre House, 5 Poplar StreetThe club isn’t the best place to get a pizza so Savai is where we go! It sits a stones throw away from the arena and offers authentic Italian grub – perfect to fill up on for a night of concert arm flailing.

Thinking out loud – Rub, Adams Walk, 2 - 4 Fletcher Gate – If you’re looking for food to put you in a good mood, plus a larger than life atmosphere then Rub is the place for you. From slow and low to super quirky cocktails – take them into your loving arms before the show.

Sing – Annie’s Burger Shack, 5 BroadwayEd was surely singing about the epic range of burgers at Annie’s when he sang “If you love me come on get involved…” as each burger is a feast for the eyes and each can be made veggie and vegan. Plus, show your same day ticket to receive 10% off selected house drinks.

Lego House – Belgo, 9 Weekday CrossWe were trying to be clever with Bel-lego house, but we’re also featuring them as the offer a top notch range of beers and even better mussel dishes (or moules as they are better known)

Bloodstream – Hockley Arts Club, 20a Carlton Street – These cool cats were recently voted best Nottingham bar in the National Pub and Bar Awards and we can see why. With their vibrant interior and impressive cocktail selection they have edginess flowing through their bloodstream!

Don't forget, if you have a More Nottingham card, Robin Hood Card, EasyRider Card or a valid Student card you can enjoy great offers from shops and restaurants across the city all year round! Check out all of our offers here
