Top city centre picks if you're veggie

Posted on: 16 May 2017

Whether you’ve made the switch to vegetarian as a lifestyle change or simply like to give up meat one day a week, then we have some wonderful eateries to satisfy your cravings (and some may surprise you!)

Las Iguanas, Chapel Quarter, 4 Chapel Bar, Nottingham NG1 6JS. If you’re after food that packs a punch then Las Iguanas is your place. They have a separate vegetarian and vegan menu which includes their well-known enchiladas, fajitas and tortillas. Plus, their 3 and 5 plate tapas can all be made vegetarian. How delicious do these options look? We’ll meet you there for 241 cocktails… (you’re paying right?)  Save 25% off the a la carte menu with our More Nottingham scheme. Full details here.

All Bar One, 3 Weekday Cross, Nottingham NG1 2GB. With two courses for £10 and four small plates and a bottle of wine for £20, All Bar One has something for everyone. Veggie options include beetroot and apple houmous with flatbread, Monterey jack cheese nachos, mezze sharing board, superfood salad and The Hipster burger (Garlic mushroom, peppers and beetroot chutney – drool!) so there’s something for every taste.

Alley Cafe,1a Cannon Court, Long Row, Nottingham NG1 6JE. We couldn’t talk about vegetarian places in Nottingham city centre without mentioning the lovely folk at Alley Café, who specialise in veggie and vegan options. From veggie sausage cobs (yes it’s cob not bap!), falafel burgers, veg fueled pizzas, spring-in-your-step juices and halloumi salad – they prove that vegetarian food is full of creativity and flavour!

Slug & Lettuce, Forman St, Nottingham NG1 4DB. Their brand spanking new menu launched on the 10th May and features fab offers such as three small plates for just £11 or five for £17. You can enjoy their veggie board for only £15.29 which includes mini bean burger sliders, omelette soldiers, beer-battered onion rings, tempura vegetables, crispy jalapenos, olives, tomato and avocado, skinny fries, ciabatta and dips – phew! We’re stuffed just writing that! Get 15% off your total bill with our More Nottingham scheme. Full details here.
