Egg-cellent things to do in the city this Easter

The Easter weekend is almost upon us and there are tons of great things to do in Nottingham city centre. From dinner and drinks with friends to Easter egg hunts around town - our great city has everything you need to have a truly cracking Easter.

Eat and drink:

Slug & Lettuce

Fancy something a little bit different? Slug & Lettuce are offering Mini Egg Mojitos this Easter! Or for something a touch more traditional why not try the Tipsy Tea on Good Friday, with sarnies, scones, desserts and fizz for £15 per person! See more here

Head of Steam

Join the brand new Head of Steam for their Sunday Sessions of live music with David Lacey. With a selection of craft beer, cask ales and cocktails there’s something for everyone. Bring your pooch along, its dog friendly! Find out more here

If you are in the mood for something a little sweeter pop into 200 Degrees for one of their Easter special Creme Egg brownies. Keep an eye out for little chicks around the store, find one and they will treat you to a free coffee! See more here

Things to do:

Old Market Square

Easter wouldn’t be complete without a good old egg hunt. Head to the Old Market Square between 10am and 6pm on Easter Sunday for a free Easter egg hunt. 

House of Fraser

If you go down to House of Fraser, you’ll be in for a big surprise this Good Friday! The Teddy bears are having their picnic and they want you to join them. There will be fun Easter activities taking place from midday to 1pm, take your own picnic along or get a children's selection bag for £1 when an adult meal is purchased.

On Easter Saturday from midday to 2pm there is also an Easter egg hunt with lots of chocolates for your little ones to find.

Nottingham Contemporary

Get creative and make your own costumes at Nottingham Contemporary over Easter before taking taking to the catwalk to become a walking, talking piece of art. This event runs from Friday 30th March to Sunday 15th April from 11am to 3pm and is free to take part.

Castle Sound and Vision

Vinyls are officially back and Castle Sound and vision are offering to clean your favourite 2 LPs for free this Good Friday and Easter Saturday. Don't forget to pick up a free Easter egg while you're there!


Head to Hotter this Good Friday between 11am and 2pm for a raffle, cake sale, face painting and the chance to win a pair of shoes all in aid of Marie Curie.
