Posted on: 02 August 2019

From craft beer to real ale and everything in-between; you can find it all in Nottingham. Whether you're looking for a full night out or just fancy a cheeky half on your way home, here's 6 city centre bars for the beer enthusiasts!

1. The Ned Ludd

This Light-filled pub located on Friar Lane perfectly balances traditional pub vibes with a modern atmosphere. There's a great selection of craft beers here, the food is top notch and the playlist is one of the more varied ones we've heard (and we mean that in a good way!). The wooden decor is also a very nice touch.

2. The Herbert Kilpin

Nestled at the top of Bridlesmith Walk, The Herbert Kilpin describe them self as "an urban version of a village pub". They also happen to share a "common village green" with Junkyard next door. Needless to say, it's a refreshing and interesting take on the pub business. If you're a regular here then you'll already know that Kilpin pride themselves on their selection of new and unique craft beers. Pop in and experience it for yourself!

3. Hockley Rebel

The locations in the name! Stocked to the brim with amazing Tiny Rebel beers and ales as well as other tasty brands, you won't struggle to find a good drink here. You'll often find great live music performed by artists from Nottingham's local music scene. In fact, Hockley Rebel enjoy their music so much that they'll give you a beer on them if you can play something they enjoy on their in-house guitar. Enjoy!

4. Six Barrel Draft House

Six Barrel Drafthouse is a coffee shop by day and craft beer/real ale haven by night. Enjoy one of six real ales or six craft beers on tap plus an impressive choice of cans and bottles from the UK, US and Europe to drink in or take away. They currently have a very cool collaboration beer on tap created by Brewsters Brewery and the talented students at Nottingham Uni called Bird of Passage.

5. Cock & Hoop

Located just next to The Lace Market Hotel, Cock & Hoop offer a selective yet varied choice of ales and craft beer. Expect a cosy, traditional atmosphere and a friendly experienced team who really know their stuff when it comes to beer! If you're feeling peckish then the food here won't disappoint either.

6. Belgo

Belgo is a paradise for the curious beer drinker, with a range of beers on offer, many of which have their own uniquely shaped glass. Known for their selection of tasty Belgian beer, Belgo is a fantastic opportunity to try something a little different. To be honest.. Anywhere that has a "Beer Adventure" option on the menu is a win with us.
