Nottingham’s top pubs, bars, clubs, restaurants, and entertainment venues have been recognised for excellence in safety, customer care, and community at the 2025 Best Bar None Awards.

An evening of celebration took place at Saltbox on Tuesday 9 September 2025, with winners from across the city’s vibrant night-time economy invited on stage to collect their awards.

For those new to Best Bar None, it’s an industry-backed accreditation scheme, supported by the Home Office and the hospitality sector, designed to reward venues that put safety, customer care, and community at the heart of what they do. Simply put, it’s about raising standards and making Nottingham one of the safest and most welcoming city centres in the country to enjoy a night out. In each category, only the very highest-scoring venue wins — one category, one winner, the best of the best.

Since 2010, It’s in Nottingham – the city’s Business Improvement District (BID) – has proudly run the scheme and hosted the annual awards. Working closely with both national chains and independent operators, the BID team assesses venues on efforts to prevent crime and disorder, protect children, enhance public safety, and safeguard women and girls as part of the Safe Space Pledge.

This year, 89 venues across twelve categories earned accreditation, making Nottingham’s Best Bar None scheme the largest in the UK. Venues are assessed on a wide range of criteria, including efforts to prevent crime and disorder, protect children, enhance public safety, and safeguard women and girls as part of the Safe Space Pledge.
