Victoria Centre, Nottingham’s premier shopping destination, is launching an inspiring summer campaign, inviting the people of Nottingham to nominate their local heroes to be celebrated as winners of the “Heroes of Nottingham” campaign.

The "Heroes of Nottingham" initiative flips the script on traditional fashion covers by showcasing everyday heroes who make Nottingham a better place – from NHS workers and teachers to campaigners and volunteers. Local residents can nominate their heroes by filling out a form explaining why their nominee deserves to be celebrated. Three winners will be selected to receive professional photoshoots, a £250 voucher for any retailer of their choice, and will be a part of Victoria Centre’s summer campaign and feature on social channels.

The campaign launches alongside Victoria Centre's exciting brand refresh, which celebrates the centre as more than just a place to shop but a place to eat, drink, chill, connect and unwind in the heart of the city centre. The refresh includes a new logo, signage, website and more. As Victoria Centre evolves, real people and authentic community connections remain at its heart.

Alongside the competition, from Friday 25 July to Tuesday 2 September 2025, Victoria Centre's South Square will be transformed into a magazine-themed experience where all visitors can have their own cover star moment by stepping inside an oversized magazine cover to capture a must-have photo. Strike a pose alongside summer-themed workshops such as crepe paper flower making with Sostrene Grene, new food samples by Tortilla and colouring with Nottinghamshire Hospice. More exciting craft workshops, express beauty treatments, and food sampling will be announced soon.

Visitors can also take home an exclusive Victoria Centre Summer Magazine featuring competitions and retailer offers. The winners of the Heroes of Nottingham competition will be revealed weekly throughout August.
