Nottingham Bowl is the UK's largest bowling centre boasting 48 lanes across 2 floors. It has been refurbished completely over the last 4 years with operators Disco Bowl spending over £2m upgrading the venue which now features the largest string bowling installation in Europe.
The venue is always working to introduce new features, and following a successful licensing application, the upstairs bar has been rebuilt and a 9-hole crazy golf course has been introduced at a cost of £250k.
The holes are named:
1) Sherwood Forest
2) DJ rave Cave
3) Arcade football table
4) Bowling alley
5) Car Garage
6) Market Square (complete with tram and our own “Banksy”
7) Chain Reaction
8) Raleigh Factory
9) Skate Park
Pete Terry, MD of the company commented:
“As a company have always loved this city and we wanted to build a golf course which had a very clear nod to Nottingham. For example, we have built a playable Old Market Square complete with a tram and left lion. Our abandoned factory hole is Raleigh themed and we even have a mock-up motorway sign-on for the A52.“
Commenting on the golf course, Disco Bowl Operations Manager Melanie Weaver said:
“The team and I can’t wait to welcome our customers to this new feature in the venue, following on from the success of the Karaoke room. It will be open every day from 3pm and can be booked online at www.nottinghambowl.co.uk. Since Disco Bowl took over the venue in February 2019 the customer experience has been transformed and we are proud to be the biggest and best in the UK right here in Nottingham.“
“It costs £7 per adult and £5 per child/student with a family ticket at £20.”
