Hart’s Hotel & Kitchen is an award-winning boutique hotel on the old ramparts of Nottingham Castle. The Kitchen is an acclaimed fine dining restaurant, which has 2 AA rosettes for culinary excellence.

Their Sunday Lunch menu makes use of high-quality, locally sourced meat and seasonal ingredients. The menu changes to make best use of these fresh ingredients, and options can include Derbyshire rump of beef, or roast loin of Venison.

Opening in late 2022, Cleaver & Wake is one of Nottingham’s newest restaurants, and has become hugely popular for its fine dining experience. The restaurant is named after two Victorian lace dressers who worked at the original site, and offers a modern and elegant environment.

The Sunday Lunch set menu includes mouth-watering options such as Overnight Roast Pork Belly, or Wild Mushroom Wellington for the vegetarians. There’s also a changing selection of fresh ‘day boat fish’ which are simply and expertly cooked. All menu options are cooked using high-quality ingredients, sourced from across the British Isles.

Famous for being one of England’s oldest pubs, Ye Olde Trip to Jerusalem was built in 1189 and was visited by King Richard the Lionheart and his men before they embarked on the Crusades in Jerusalem.

Nestled into the stone caves below Nottingham Castle, the ‘wonky’ interior is home to a warm and welcoming atmosphere - and some resident ghosts!

The Kilpin Beer Cafe is one of Nottingham's hidden gems! Tucked away in Bridlesmith Walk, you'll find a peaceful courtyard and this popular pub. Despite being a little hidden away, it's right in the middle of the city centre and only a minute's walk from the Lace Market tram stop.

The Kilpin's hearty Sunday lunches include a pork, chicken roast beef option, which are served with Yorkshire pudding, roast potatos, mash, veg and gravy. They also offer a vegetable loaf, which comes with stuffing, roast potatoes and plenty of roast veg.

Based in the Lace Market area of Nottingham, the Cross Keys is a traditional pub that’s popular for its selection of beers and delicious food.

The varied Sunday menu means it’s sure to be a crowd-pleaser. There are the classic Sunday Roasts, with three different meats on offer (or a trio of all three if you’re feeling extra peckish!), alongside Apricot-Glazed Beetroot Wellington for the veggies and vegans in the family.

Just up the road from Nottingham Castle, you'll find The Roundhouse - which is based in Nottingham's old general hospital. It's a fully independent pub with a cosy and inviting atmosphere.

Their Sunday roasts are cooked with locally sourced food, and options include chicken, slow cooked beef, a mild spiced chickpea nut roast and a special of the week. Roasts are served with roast potatos, yorkshire pudding, seasonal veg, carrots and homemade red wine gravy.

Based just up the road from Old Market Square, The Ned Ludd is popular for its warm atmosphere and range of drink options.

The Sunday Roast menu offers four options of meat, alongside a vegan roast. The meat roasts are served along with creamy mashed potato, cauliflower cheese, veggies, stuffing, yorkies and gravy.

If you’re feeling extra hungry, there's an option to upgrade to a large meal. Or there are also some affordable side options such as pigs in blankets or roast potatoes to add a bit extra to your meal without breaking the bank.

Enjoy a great Sunday roast at one of Nottingham's unique venues. The Malt Cross is a stunning Victorian music hall which has been brought back to life as a pub and heritage event space.

Alongside the atmospheric building, it’s a chance to indulge in a feel-good Sunday lunch - as the venue is partnered with YMCA Nottingham, and the chefs regularly work with the community as part of the charity’s services.

The Sunday lunches are popular, and feature a range of seasonal ingredients - served up in a cosy and welcoming setting.

The menu is subject to change to reflect the availability of ingredients, but options often include roast beef, chicken supreme, pork belly and a vegetarian wellington. Fothergills is a great option for groups that include a mixture of meat eaters and veggies. The Sunday Roast menu includes four meat options, alongside a Vegetarian Wellington - served with Yorkshire pudding, roasties, veggies, mash, stuffing and a rich gravy.

There’s also a decent wider Sunday menu, including more options for veggies and vegans. These are Roasted Squash & Sage Gnocchi (vegan cheese is available as an option), The Heliburger (which can be made with a vegan patty and cheese), Beluga Lentil Ragu & Rigatoni (vegan cheese available), and a Mushroom, White Truffle and Spinach Pie.

Fothergills put a great deal of effort into their food supply chain - picking the best quality seasonal product from both local suppliers and further afield. They work with local micro-breweries to bring in local ales, and also have a great selection of wines.

This bistro-style venue offers some fantastic views of Nottingham Castle and space to sit back and relax.

One of Nottingham’s hidden gems, from the outside the Hand & Heart looks like a traditional pub. But beyond the cosy bar, you’ll find this is actually one of Nottingham’s cave pubs which is built into the sandstone rock.

The natural cave which is home to the rear trading area of the pub provides a unique ambiance and experience - and a Sunday lunch to remember!

Nestle under the gently lit roof of the cave and dive into one of the Sunday lunch options, which include slow-roasted lamb breast, garlic & thyme chicken supreme and beetroot wellington. All dinners are served with roasties, mash, stuffing, heaps of veg, Yorkie and proper gravy!
