Nottingham city centre is the perfect place to explore if you're a student thanks to all the student-friendly activities available to keep you busy between lectures. After a year of covid lockdown it's understandable that everyone (especially students) are keen to meet up with friends and have a great time.
Whether you’ve got money to spend or need a cheap and cheerful option, Nottingham has it all.
Equipped with 48 lanes and a large arcade area, you and your friends can Bowl the night away at Nottingham Bowl.
The bowling alley also serves pizza, hotdogs and desserts so it's a great place to spend the whole evening. They also offer student discounts to help sweeten the deal.
Based in a former Victorian warehouse on the waterfront, the Glee Club makes for a perfect student evening in Nottingham's City Centre.
Glee Club is a comedy and live music club, equipped with a food and bar area which also offers student entry rates to their shows. This space is also available for hire, which makes it a great place for student events if your comedy society wants to take over for a night.
Sink your teeth into one of the tastiest burger shacks in Nottingham. Annie’s Burger Shack specialises in creating a variety of great-tasting burgers such as The Fajita or The Malibu Surf and Turf. With breakfast, lunch and dinner available you're going to want to make this your new regular so you can try the whole menu.
Their menu is reasonably priced, which is perfect for a student budget and it also caters for vegans and vegetarians. They also host event nights including a Comedy night with special guests. What’s not to love!
Nottingham City Centre has a vibrant nightlife thanks to its pubs, bars, clubs and concerts, but if you are looking to discover new bands, Rescue Rooms is the perfect place for you.
Rescue Rooms has a rich music history, where iconic bands such as The Killers, Bloc Party and Ellie Goulding have all come to perform. The venue has a 450 capacity, perfect for intimate live performances and club nights. Rescue Rooms is also well-equipped for all your nightlife needs, with a bar and smoking terraces.
Nottingham Contemporary is one of the largest contemporary art galleries in the UK, making it the perfect place to go for art and design students. This museum hosts a variety of student friendly events, presenting free exhibitions and special events for feature exhibits.
Not only is it the perfect daytime activity to do, it's also kitted out with a café which is perfect for a quick bite and catching up with friends.
