🌟 What’s the festival all about?

We know the mental health of young people is more important than ever, and while the challenges are real, this festival is all about positive action. The Positively Empowered Kids Festival is designed to help children discover their inner strength, build resilience, and connect with tools that support wellbeing — all through play, creativity, and community spirit.

Organised by Nottingham’s social enterprise, Positively Empowered Kids CIC, this feel-good day brings mental health support to the castle grounds in the most uplifting, interactive way possible.

💬 Why it matters

More than 150,000 children across the UK are currently waiting over a year for mental health support. This festival offers a powerful alternative: prevention through empowerment.

“We can’t wait for children to reach crisis before we offer help,” says Jackie Wilson, Founder and Director of Positively Empowered Kids. “Our festival is about equipping children with tools, strategies and self-belief that can last a lifetime.”
