Standard Hill Park Row NG1 6FN

Ned Ludd

Light-filled bar and gastropub, located on Friar Lane and just a couple of minutes walk from Nottingham’s iconic Market Square. Their name is derived from the man who gave his name to the Luddite movement. On Sundays, you can choose from garlic and rosemary chicken, roast beef topside, lamb shank and veggie beet roast. They also offer roasts in three sizes; children (under 12s only), regular and large.

Looking to treat yourself? Well, look no further than this elegant dining room with marble flooring in a 17th-century house serving modern British cuisine. On Sundays they offer lamb loin, sirloin of roast beef, roast chicken, pork fillet, stone bass with caviar or olive and rosemary polenta. Plus half a dozen tasty starter and dessert options too.

Ye Olde Trip To Jerusalem

Finally, it’s the oldest pub in Nottingham and quite possibly the whole universe. If dining in the caves appeals then ‘The Trip’, as the locals affectionately call it, is an option with a Greene King menu of roasted half chicken, roast beer and nut roast wellington. Plus there’s plenty of curiosities like the old boat covered in cobwebs and the pregnancy chair to amuse you while you wait to be served.
