Whether you’re looking for a relaxed meal out or to socialise with friends over a slice, this is the doughmain (pun intended) for you pizza aficionados!

First up, we have Rudy’s Pizza Neopoletana located in the bustling heart of Nottingham city centre. A relaxed and warm environment in this neighbourhood pizzeria is the community hub where you can come together with your friends and family to enjoy delicious food and good company. At Rudy’s you will definitely feel part of the famiglia. You also have the option to buy some delicious pizza bake-at-home packages to prepare and devour at home.

If you want the power to create your pizza with customised toppings at no extra cost, Pizza Punks is the place to go. Created with punk vibes, this independent pizza company screams freedom and expression. They’ve even got an amazing playlist of riotous tunes which definitely makes for a Punk’d time! You know what’s even better? Gluten-free pizza bases for just £2 and vegan mozzarella you can swap for instead.

Whether it’s a team outing, a hen party or a stag do – Gusto’s got just the thing for you! From flour to fromage, enjoy the two and a half hour experience of pizza and entertainment at The Chef’s Table.

Gusto, 29 Upper Parliament St, Nottingham NG1 2AR

Another gem on King Street is Pizza Express, a sociable pizzeria where you can refuel from a shopping spree in the city or grab a bite before a big Saturday night. Savour Romana pizzas – thinner, bigger, crispier. Or, stick with the classics. Whatever you choose, get saucy! Order a Leggara – a legendary pizza with a salad-hole in the middle if you want to satisfy your craving during your fitness regime. (Yes, it has fewer calories. You heard it here!)

Pizza Express, 20 King St, Nottingham NG1 2AS

Up in Trinity Square is Slice ‘n’ Brew, a buzzing pizzeria built on New York pizza tradition. Give into a vodka pie, a Detroit-style slice, or an artichoke and olive pizza if you want a veggie or vegan spin. The best time to visit them is midweek when you want a sweet (and saucy) escape from work to delight in a slice (and brew!). Remember to get the scotch honey dip for just £2 – highly recommended!

Slice 'n' Brew, 10 King's Walk, Nottingham NG1 2AE

Bella Italia is another good find. Based at The Cornerhouse, this bubbly Italian restaurant is open daily for lunch and dinner. Munch on garlic dough balls or enjoy the vibrancy of their Caprese salad. It certainly is an Italian-style pick-me-up from flavourful bowls of pasta to their hand-topped pizzas from their à la carte or set menu. There are many vegan and gluten-free options to explore, too!

Bella Italia, G4-6, The Cornerhouse, Forman St, Nottingham NG1 4DB

One more good find is Prezzo, nestled on Forman Street. Be sure to check out their Pinsa – a Romano-style fluffy rectangular pizza base. Go veggie with their new mushroom, burrata and truffle Pinsa or savour a three-meat special smoky Tre Carni Pinsa if you like a bit of heat. With many gluten-free options available in their La Pizza Classic menu, try their courgette and black olive, tuna pesto or goat's cheese and roasted peppers pizza. End the meal with a Sorbetto!

Prezzo, 21-23 Forman St, Nottingham NG1 4AA

If you’re looking to treat yourself and your significant other in true Tuscan and Venetian fashion, head to Piccolino on Weekday Cross. Choose from options of Margherita, Calzone, and Diavola from their Pizza Classica or an Ortolana and Tartufo from their Pizza Speciali. Remember to ask for the Guest Pizza special, if you want a pleasant surprise! They also have an option for a gluten-free base.

Then there’s Das Kino with a fabulous offer of £5 per 12” pizza from Sundays to Fridays. If you enjoy pineapples on your pizza - yes, controversial, but if you do, the Bikini Bottom is the one for you. Stick with a Godzilla – a classic pepperoni and BBQ or bite into a slice of the King Kong – pepperoni, chicken, bacon, and sausage – extremely meaty!

Das Kino, 22 Fletcher Gate, Nottingham NG1 2FZ

Last but not least, is Pizza Pilgrims! Located in the bustling streets of Hockley, Pizza Pilgrims brings a Neopolitan flare to Nottingham where every slice tells a story. Indulge (we mean reaaaally indulge) in an eight-cheese pizza (twice as good as a four-cheese!), a smoky aubergine parm, a margherita extra extra or an Americana (this has chips and a hot dog topping)! Don’t worry, they’ve got halal mozzarella and pepperoni, making this pizzeria extremely inclusive.
